We parked our RV next to the barn and just had a relaxing couple of days visiting and catching up with Jordan's cousin Lee and her hubby Joe Bennion who live in this small little rural town that looks like it's been stopped in time. Jordan enjoyed doing some farm chores.
When they aren't doing rafting trips down the Grand Canyon (Joe is a guide) they are busy with a bajillion things around their place and extending love/care to those in their community.
Lee is an artist (with her studio in the upper part of the cute barn next to the RV), kombucha, scrumptious pie and bread maker (which I watched her make and tried to learn), animal caretaker (dogs, chickens & birds), creator of incredible Mom's Salve and often found out on the trial riding her horse. She's pretty much just plain amazing......
Joe is a wonderful well known/loved potter who owns his own studio - Horshoe Mountain Pottery (which you can walk to from their house). In between monitoring the temperature of the kiln (which was full of a big batch of incredible pieces he had just completed and was now glazing) he was busy working on new pieces. It was so cool to watch him at the wheel and help unload the kiln with gorgeous new items that will go on sale tomorrow. Many of which will sell out that day. Some batches he wood fires and other ones (like this batch) are done in this large kiln that use to be at Snow College.
And yes I followed the chickens around to capture images of them because they were gorgeous.....I mean damn look at this girl strutting her stuff!
We absolutely loved our country stay and can't wait for our next visit.
What a power couple! I didn't know Lee was the creator of Mom's Stuff?? I see it everywhere! Also, the pictures of Joe in his studio are just stunning. And the chickens!!! My absolute favorite. 😍
So fun! That's a great looking pie. I like the photo of dad with the pictures all behind him.
We LOVED your visit!
