On our way here from the Oregon coast we made a quick stop to see our friends, Susan & Doug, who own Fleurish Lavender which is a small farm in Sequim. We met them originally when they stayed with us as guests in our B&B in Bozeman, MT and have followed (and visited) their amazing farm before. It's a wonderful place to come, learn about lavender, purchase cool products and spend time surrounded by the wonderful looking and smelling flowers.
Then we headed to Port Angeles to catch our ferry. We had made a reservation ahead since it's high season and didn't want to risk showing up and not getting a space. The check in was a breeze (we had completed the required ArriveCan documents within four days of our departure). It's so wild to drive your car right onto a large ship!
The 1 1/2 hour ride went by fast because the weather was so nice and we enjoyed looking out across the water. It was fun to see Mount Baker in the distance, the cityscape and several sea planes as we approached the shoreline.
After having some yummy pizza we headed to the house we are staying in for the month. It has great views from the large windows and there is a wonderful long path for walking/biking across the street. We caught our first sunset which was gorgeous!
The next day we wandered a bit around the downtown bay and I could not believe the flowers! Everywhere you look there are gorgeous hanging baskets, landscaped beds and flower arrangements.
We love being able to walk across the street to get in walks with these views.
And every evening we have fun watching the sunsets (sometimes sitting in our front window with a cup of tea).
We're so excited to be here!
